# Heliciel > Heliciel is propeller, wing and turbine design software (BEM — Blade Element Momentum — with an airfoil database and XFOIL polars), published in France by Mecaflux since 2005. heliciel.com hosts its tutorials and articles on aircraft, drone and marine propellers, axial fans, wind and hydro turbines, Kaplan runners, wings and hydrofoils. ## Heliciel MCP — the software, driven by an AI assistant Heliciel MCP is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that lets an AI assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat, Cursor, VS Code, LM Studio, any MCP client) drive a real Heliciel instance. Every figure returned (thrust, torque, power, efficiency, RPM, blade geometry) comes from a BEM computation run by the software, never from the model's estimate. Missing parameters are asked for, not assumed; a failed computation is reported as-is. - Server: https://mcp.heliciel.com/mcp (OAuth 2.0 + PKCE; MCP pass sold per day on mecaflux.com) - Claude directory: https://claude.ai/directory/connectors/heliciel-propeller-design - MCP registry: com.heliciel/heliciel - 76-tool catalogue and per-client configuration: https://github.com/jfiglesias1/heliciel-mcp - Capabilities: size (automatic RPM search), analyze off-design (sweeps, maps), optimize (RPM, blade count, chords), check (cavitation, design alerts, head balance), show (interactive 3D viewer), export (STL, IGES, STEP, OBJ, JSON, CSV) - Limits: ideal theoretical performance (smooth surfaces, no compressibility), no dB(A) acoustic model, no CFD (reserved to the Heliciel PRO CFD module of the installed software), no structural analysis ## Heliciel MCP pages (English) - [Heliciel MCP: real propellers, designed by your AI assistant](https://www.heliciel.com/en/mcp_heliciel/heliciel_mcp.htm): reference page, real examples, screenshots, "for AI assistants" section, FAQ - [Drone propeller design with ChatGPT or Claude](https://www.heliciel.com/en/mcp_heliciel/drone-propeller-design-ai.htm) - [Aircraft propeller design with an AI assistant](https://www.heliciel.com/en/mcp_heliciel/aircraft-propeller-design-ai.htm) - [Wind turbine power calculation with ChatGPT or Claude](https://www.heliciel.com/en/mcp_heliciel/wind-turbine-design-ai.htm) - [Connector documentation](https://www.mecaflux.com/suite/en/heliciel-mcp.htm) - [Heliciel MCP pass](https://www.mecaflux.com/suite/en/pass_mcp.php) - French index: https://www.heliciel.com/llms.txt ## Validated example requests (reproducible results) - "Design an aircraft propeller: 50 kW, 120 km/h, max diameter 1.5 m, 2 blades." → 2,862.5 rpm, thrust 1,121 N, efficiency 92.8 % - "Load a wind turbine, 3 blades, 4 m diameter, 8 m/s wind — what power can I harvest?" → Cp 0.426, 1.53 kW shaft power - "I have an 8 kg drone, 4 motors, 150 % thrust margin, motors at 5000 rpm.
